Who Is In Charge?

2022, a year of integration, will be a time in which the predominant energies are those of honoring and including our past while taking steps beyond the known into a new future. While our world as we’ve known it has been falling apart, it is also being reborn. New order flows out of chaos.

During this time there is extreme violence and hatred because people are afraid of what they don’t know and can’t control, and they hate what they fear. The intensity of change activates our survival instinct to grab on tightly to what we know while trying harder to control life. It’s an unsuccessful attempt to rid ourselves of fear.

Paradoxically, rebirth requires expanding into the unknown, beyond our control. This is challenging because we are conditioned to believe that we are in charge of our reality, should be, and need to be. If we’re not, then who is? We think it’s me, or even my higher self, my soul, my spirit or even God or Goddess who is in charge.

Actually, we’re not in charge of our reality, and never were. We just thought we were and still think we are. It’s a very big leap to go beyond the hierarchical notion of something or someone being in charge. We create some imaginary outer authority who is in charge, give them our power, and then manipulate to try to get them to bend to our will.

Inclusivity doesn’t operate by somebody, even God, being in charge. That notion establishes a hierarchy with God at the pinnacle. We’ve been taught that creation is a hierarchy, but it’s not.

As we surrender past the concept of someone being in charge, and step beyond what’s known, we open into inclusivity. In that state we get a better sense of how creation actually works. In a non-hierarchical state we are not in charge and don’t need to be. Nobody is.

When we step into the unknown beyond control, we get to genuinely experience something completely different. This changes our relationship with ourselves, with others, and with all. It takes a good deal of integrating to allow that state to become an authentic experience.

What helps are curiosity and discovery rather than a secret desire to just get better at controlling everything. Through discovery, we can experience All That Is continuously creating All That Is. There, we can experience the states of being beyond hierarchy and control.

Integration and inclusivity mean including every part of ourselves. This includes what we may not like in ourselves or others, such as our negative ego, with all of its demands and agendas. But these aspects of human nature are part of us, of humanity, and of All That Is. Trying to eradicate them doesn’t work but accepting ourselves with love and compassion does.

In this workshop we will:
• identify how we give our power away to an outside authority
• notice where we are trying to control our lives
• step beyond hierarchy
• experience ourselves as part of All That Is

The workshop lasts 90 minutes.
