Second in a series on Relationships
In the first workshop of the series, The Magic In Relationships, we explored the difference between trying to build a relationship and real relating. By becoming more present, deep within our bodies, we opened into the love and magic within real relating.
In this second workshop, we will be experiencing what emotional intimacy feels like and what stands in the way. We have years of conditioning against emotion in general, and misunderstanding about the difference between drama and authentic emotion. For most, there is mystery surrounding how to access authentic emotion and the importance of its role. In addition, we can have fears of humiliation and vulnerability that inhibit our willingness to open and feel.
What is the difference between drama and authentic emotion? How do we open to real emotion and not just repeat drama? How do we stay in our own presence when we are scared and hurting or when someone else is suffering? Can we hold ourselves and each other in enough love to transcend into something more real?
Our loving presence allows for transformation of fears and hurts, and for the kind of transcendent intimacy we yearn for. In the intimacy of real relating, we recognize the beauty of our own existence. We also feel the beauty in the existence of all others. In real relating, a profound emotional intimacy occurs in which realness happens.
In this workshop you will:
- experience the difference between drama and authentic emotion
- discover how to access authentic emotion
- feel the power and joy of connecting intimately with self and other
