Choosing Peace in Challenging Times
Living through these intense times of breakdown in our world can be extraordinarily challenging. What we are seeing is the tyrannical becoming the fanatical. Many people are experiencing overwhelming anxiety, anger, and powerless terror about the state of the world. Yet, at the same time, there’s a movement of unity and compassion that’s gaining momentum.
Our current world system is based on lack, fear and limitation. It’s based on the tyranny of certainty, of thinking we should know and control reality. The trap is in defining “me” as one tiny separate being who should be in charge of everything. We believe that certainty and control keep us safe, which they don’t.
The opportunity is to be part of creating a new world that’s different than anything we’ve known before. It requires stepping off the game board of what has been and receiving what we cannot yet envision. It’s beyond the worry and anxiety that live in the head.
In this new place we are at peace and feel the joy of cooperative co-creation even as the old is falling apart. It’s a deeply relaxed open space of limitless possibility. There’s wondrous life beyond fear stories. There’s joy that radiates from the heart naturally.
It comes down to feeling our way into the new rather than trying to think our way out of the old. What works is to include and integrate our worn-out beliefs with compassion, rather than trying to fight with or fix them. It’s empowering to focus on opening to the new. New means brand new; it’s never been before.
Opening happens naturally when we truly accept All That Is and realize it’s a lot bigger than all of the nonsense swirling around. All That Is includes everything in our physical reality and so much more. While we can’t comprehend it with the linear mind, it is something we can hear and touch beyond words, thoughts and memories. In doing so we not only experience peace personally, but we also help to create it on the planet.

• identify our feelings about the state of the world
• move from a thinking state into a feeling state
• hold our old beliefs with compassion
• open to receive something brand new for ourselves and for the planet
