A Call to Adventure

This season’s pair of eclipses are among the influences helping us let go of the past while opening to a new present and future. They are helping us redefine who we experience ourselves to be. We are seeing not only a rapid detaching from the past but also the crises and conflicts that tend to accompany major change. While these are super challenging times, human consciousness is shifting at an increased speed, presenting an extraordinary opportunity for an evolutionary leap into new adventure.

One of the biggest contrasts between the past and the present/future is the difference between control and responsibility. Responsibility is the ability to stay present and respond as opposed to trying to control everything. When we respond there’s limitless possibility, new creation, and grand adventure.

As we change, there will be parts of us who object and resist, thinking they are protecting us by keeping everything the same. While our spirit loves adventure, there are parts of us who don’t want to change. They don’t want to move or budge. They say, “I don’t want to,” to everything because nothing feels right or good enough. They try to figure out what’s right or wrong rather than feeling what’s real for us in that particular moment. They can become very irritable, angry, discouraged, anxious, depressed and even violent when they would rather stay closed and in control.

These resistant parts need to be heard, understood, and included as part of the process of opening. When we can include both our desire for adventure and our resistance, we expand into the new and simultaneously integrate our resistance.

Adventure is not just something we do like climbing a mountain or rafting down a river. It’s an attitude of joyful exploration and openness to discovery. It’s a courageous and beautifully life-altering experience in which we expand beyond who and where we were. But the YES doesn’t come without some YIKES. When we can accept, honor, and include both yes and yikes as part of the process, we expand into lightness, freedom and innovation. We co-create a new world, thus answering the call to adventure.

In this workshop we will:
• welcome our call to adventure
• identify our resistance
• hold our yes and yikes with compassion

The workshop lasts 90 minutes.
